What to include
The more we know, the more accurate the first conversation is:
- What's happening and when it started
- The age of the equipment, if you know it (water heater and boiler labels show a date)
- A photo of the problem or the equipment label
- Your street or neighborhood
What happens next
- A licensed plumber calls you back, usually within the hour during our hours.
- For planned work, we schedule a visit to see the job and give you a written estimate.
- For repairs, we quote the trip fee on the phone and the repair in writing on site.
Common estimate requests: water heater replacement, boiler replacement, sewer line repair, sump pump installation and backflow testing.
Frequently asked questions
Are estimates free?
Written estimates for planned replacements like water heaters, boilers and sewer lines are provided at no charge after we see the job. Emergency and repair visits have a trip fee that covers diagnosis, quoted before dispatch.
How soon can you come out?
Usually the same or next day for estimates. Emergencies are dispatched right away during our hours.
Will the price change after the estimate?
Not unless we find something that wasn't visible, and if we do, we stop and explain before doing any extra work.
Can you estimate from photos?
Photos help us give a range on the phone, but a firm written price usually needs a site visit.
Do estimates include permits?
Yes. When a job needs a permit, the fee and inspection are included in the written estimate.
